Manamendra-Arachchi K, A de Silva & AAT Amarasinghe (2006). Description of a second species of Cophotis (Reptilia: Agamidae) from the highlands of Sri Lanka. Lyriocephalus 6 (Suppl. 1): 1–8.Remarks :
Cophotis dumbarae is currently a junior homonym of Cophotis dumbara Samarawickrama et al., 2006. Cophotis dumbara and C. dumbarae have been described independently. However, Hallermann & Böhme (2007) showed that the two species are identical and that C.dumbara has priority over C. dumbarae. Both names are given as an eponym for the region it inhabits, the "Dumbara Hills" (The Knuckles Mountains) of Sri Lanka.
English name: Knuckles Pygmy Lizard
Sinhala (local) name: දුම්බර කුරු-කටුස්සා
